Here we have a bit of a gem of a 5" Polly 1. By no means a standard Polly though this one. With extended frames and a model engineer built body, this is to our eyes an extremely well proportioned and handsome beast! Then the colour, being somewhere close to North British brown/green makes a particularly attractive model.
It's nice when we get models in that have a little bit of finesse about them, and even though this is essentially a kit based loco, it has been assembled, modified and finished with skill and care and taste! We haven't run it here yet, but we will of course, and are sure it will run as well as it looks.
She is fitted with an injector and a mechanical axle driven pump, with of course a footplate mounted bypass valve. There is a big mechanical lubricator on the running boards and there is even a vacuum brake ejector fitted for running train brakes!
