Here we have a nicely built 5" gauge GWR 15xx pannier tank. Built to the powerful and proven 'Speedy' design by LBSC.
This model was built in 2001 by a prolific and well respected model engineer. We had his GWR King come through last year, and it ran as well as we expect this one to do. The boiler is copper silver soldered and very nicely done, and as with all our finished models she can be given a fresh full 4 year hydraulic certificate and a fresh annual steam cert. We don't think she's seen too much running as the bottom end is still nicely tight.
There are two injectors, and axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve and a hand pump in the bunker so that you'll always be able to get the water in. Lubrication is from two independent mechanical lubricators under the removable front footplate.
