Here we have a scratch built 2½ inch gauge coal fired live steam 4-4-2 Large boilered Ivatt Atlantic locomotive. It's finished in GNR livery.
This is a very nicely built little thing. The photos will hopefully show the skill of the model engineer, as the machining work is nice, crisp and well detailed. It doesn't need much to bring it back to it's former glory having been well looked after, and admired on a shelf for a good few years. It's a surprisingly heavy little thing, the copper boiler being constructed of fairly thick material, which we think will really help it's large wheels put it's weight down onto the track. A little bit of well placed TLC would result in a very satisfying engine.
