Here we have a nicely made 5" gauge Southern (LSWR) 4-4-2 Adams Radial tank. Built by a well respected model engineer, and a known loco to us here at SW, (one of our number having driven her a few times at his home club track when he was younger). In recent years she's had a bit of an overhaul and a repaint into this rather fetching Southern Green, which we think you'll agree suits her rather well!
All the usual bits and bobs are there. The boiler is silver soldered copper and can be given a full fresh 4 year hydraulic test, and the same goes for a fresh steam test so she is ready to play.
There is an injector fitted, plus an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve. Lubrication is mechanical and fitted underneath the front footplate. Mechanically she is sound, and cosmetically nice and tidy too. An all round good little loco this and lets be fair,..... very pretty too!
