Here we have a well advanced 7 1/4" Gauge Sweet William 0-4-0 saddle tank.
All the main bits are there, the boiler is a professional job from Harry Holt with all the associated paperwork. The bottom end is unassembled, but again all the major components are there to make her into an air running chassis without too much drama. The chassis is rolling, and as you will be able to see from the photos, the majority of the valve gear is done and it seams ready to fit. The cylinders are machined and fitted to the frames with the pistons having been fitted too. The valves are there, and the guides, glands and end caps are also in place. Cosmetically the smokebox is ostensibly finished, as is the cab and saddle tank. Really, this is well on the way, certainly all the hard work is behind you, and it could be a running loco with very little input.
We were told that there is an issue with the quartering of the wheels, which would be a simple job to re-set, although with a cursory glance it appears ok to us!
Decent, rather than bleached out photos, more details will follow very shortly, but for more information in the meantime, please don't hesitate to give us a bell on 07816 963463
