Here we have a 7 1/4" gauge 'Wren' with a saddle tank twist! An ostensibly complete, brand new and unsteamed loco, but certainly one where several aspects would be well served with a strategic rethink!
The silver soldered copper boiler looks well made and robust. We can happily give that a fresh twice working pressure hydraulic test for you so that you've peace of mind there. The general machining work on the bottom end is ok, with the cylinders, wheels and major components looking like the should be fine, but there are bits here and there, mostly in terms of the finish and fit that let the loco down.
The boiler fittings are a mixed bag, and would need a degree of work to change or re-fettle too. There's an injector and a hand pump fitted and lubrication is mechanical with a large reservoir Ultimately though this is a pretty much there project Wren that shouldn't take a great deal of effort to see it over the final hurdles to steam.
