Here we have a nice little starter engine if you fancy getting into 7 1/4" gauge, a doubled up LBSC 'Tich' but this one's been modified into an 0-6-0 too! A chunky little fella that should pull quite well for it's size with it's small wheels and extra grip. The engine is by no means an exhibition winner, and has obviously seen plenty of use in the past. At some point it's been blue, you can see the paint here and there peeping through from behind the black. The valve gear currently has a little slop here n there, but we will obviously re-bush and tighten up anything significant here in the workshop before it leaves so that you know that she will be good to go.
Boiler wise it's the usual silver soldered copper job, that can leave us again, as always with a fresh 4 year hydraulic test and a fresh steam test, the loco being fully tested so you are good to just hit the track. Fitted with two injectors and a simple mechanical lubricator on the running board, drain cocks are footplate operated, and that's about it! A straight forward, inexpensive way to get into 7 1/4" gauge with a working 0-6-0 loco.
