Here we have a really cool model of a 7 1/4 Burryport & Gwendraeth Valley Railway 0-6-0T. This was a newly completed and running loco, but the builder dismantled the valve chests, valves and valve rods for a tweak, but sadly passed away, whereupon those few parts disappeared in his workshop clearance. The model appears to be based around a Keith Wilson GWR 13xx, so the castings and drawings are available to replace the missing bits. We can do that work here in house and sell the loco as a finished and working model, we can even paint it for you, but obviously the cost will be more around the high £9000s if you chose to go that route.
We are super busy here in the workshop at the moment, so apologies for the lack of written information here at the moment! We have an ever increasing backlog of models that we need to get listed up for sale, and so have prioritised getting them photographed, priced and live for sale. As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
