Here we have another tidy example of the ever popular 5" gauge Sweet Pea design. A nicely made example with a tidy looking silver soldered copper boiler, which as usual can come with both fresh hydraulic and steam tests. The Hackworth valve gear is exactly as you would expect, being tight in the coupling and connecting rods, but with the usual minor slop in the die block and only slight play in the valve rod linkage.
Lubrication is mechanical with a pot on the right hand side. Water is fed by an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve, and a hand pump under the footplate. If you'd like an injector fitting as well that's also no problem, just ask about it when you get in touch. As always, the loco will be freshly tested before it leaves our workshops so it's fully working and ready to run.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
