Here we have a 5" gauge Polly 5, and a nice tidy build too. The boiler is of course the well respected and beautifully made professional Polly one, and it can be given a full fresh 4 year hydraulic test and fresh steam test before it leaves the workshop here. Mechanically the bottom end is in good shape and doesn't appear to have seen a great deal of use. There are a few nice little touches too such as the oil pots to enable feeding the inside motion behind the tanks as well as the plugs in the top of the valve chest for steam oil after you've finished running.
There is an injector, an axle pump and a hand pump in the side tank. Lubrication is mechanical and easy to access on the running board. Polly Vs are a particularly desirable iteration of the well respected Polly range, and it represents a manageable but strong, straight forward running engine that should give you plenty of trouble free fun at your track.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
