Here we have a 5" gauge Midland compound 4-4-0 lookalike, based of course on the ubiquitous and well proven 'Maid of Kent' design. This is a brand new engine, the boiler only having had a couple of test steamings. The engine was we think virtually finished some years ago, and then languished in a damp workshop for some time, ultimately coming to us about 3 years ago in a cosmetically tired state. We sold it back then as a 'project' engine, and this is the end result, now finished and back in as a px for another toy!
There's an injector and a hand pump in the tender, lubrication is mechanical and easily accessible on the running board. The draincocks are footplate operated,.... all round it's a nicely done thing, just ready to throw a fire in and play round your local track!
