A rather beautiful professionally made and brand new boiler that we originally believed to be for a 5" Maid of Kent, but in fact it is fractionally larger than a standard MoK. Made by Don Brook boilers this is a really tidy example of a well flanged, strongly riveted and stayed silver soldered copper boiler. As you can see it's never been fitted to a loco or even had any of the stubb bushes machined out to fit a specific loco, so it's a blank sheet awaiting fitting to the loco of your choice.

We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
