Here we have a 5" gauge L&Y Aspinall A Class to the respected design by Don Young. A really pretty prototype this, and again, not a common model. We've actually never had a completed one come through us here at Steam Workshop before, only a couple of nice part builds, so nice to see this one come through.
The usual silver soldered copper boiler can come with fresh hydraulic tests as well as a fresh annual steam test so all's well there. More information to be added shortly, but for now have a good look at the photographs to give you the general idea and give us a bell for a chat if you'd like to know any more.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
