Here we have a 5" gauge LMS Stanier Jubilee, 45686 'St Vincent'. An interesting engine this, it's Steam Workshop rebuild number 18, (link to the gallery below), and although it started life as the Kingscale Jubilee pre-production prototype it has been much modified mechanically as you'll be able to see from the gallery following the rebuild.
A fully 3 cylinder model, as per the prototype, with new liners and much improved valve porting and timing. Fitted with a pair of injectors, lubrication is now mechanical and fitted under the front running board. There's a steam brake as well as a nice Stanier hooter tucked away under the tender. The boiler is professionally made copper silver soldered and comes with a fresh 4 year hydraulic test as well as a fresh steam test so it's ready to go.
We are super busy here in the workshop at the moment, so apologies for the lack of written information here at the moment! We have an ever increasing backlog of models that we need to get listed up for sale, and so have prioritised getting them photographed, priced and live for sale. As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
