Here we have another part built GWR Pannier tank in 5" gauge. This time it's a model engineer built locomotive to the ever popular LBSC 'Pansy' design. Just like the finished GWR 5700 that we have for sale on the ready to run locos page.
The boiler is a new, and strongly made silver soldered copper one, that has been hydraulically tested to twice working pressure and stamped from the builder's club. It can come of course with a fresh 4 year hydraulic certificate so there's pretty much the bulk of the asking price in that alone! Build quality is pretty good, and ultimately there isn't a great deal of work left to do to push this one over the final hurdle into a running model. The pannier tanks are all there, and the inside faces are there, but need to be sealed and fully fitted before they are ready for permanent attachment. Currently the model is simply loosely assembled for the photographs so you can get a good idea of where she is at. Hopefully the photos will do a decent job of telling the rest of the story.
