Well here we have another 'rare as hens teeth' loco. A brand new, extremely well made 5" GWR Grange. The only 5" Grange we've ever seen available for sale. The paint job could have been a bit better, so because this one is quite a special loco, we have taken the decision to strip her down and give her the full Steam Workshop re-paint treatment.
The model pre-dates the published design from Polly models, and we think that the builder has probably used the Greenly Hall design, or possibly the Martin Evans Manor as the basis for the model engineering tolerances and valve gear dimensions, perhaps cylinders too, but then used the works drawings to ensure that everything is 'Grange',..... and a very nice job he has done too.
