Here we have a 5" gauge GWR 14xx built from a Winson/Modelworks kit. This is a running loco that has been complete and working, and indeed still is fully usable in it's current slightly cosmetically dismantled state. The previous owner was in the process of detailing and repainting the engine before the project ran out of steam,...... as it were!
The boiler is the usual professionally made silver soldered copper one from Modelworks, and comes with both it's past history and it's current fresh hydraulic and steam tests, all ready to run. There are a bunch of spare bits and bobs that we've tried to photograph as well as possible, including but not limited to things like a pole reverser to exchange for the standard screw reverser if you should wish.
It would take us a little too much time here in the workshop to pit all the cosmetic bits back on and give it a fresh coat of paint, so as a result it's being sold here as a running project and therefore a nicely inexpensive route into a pretty 5" gauge loco.
