Here we have another nicely made and part built example of Gresleys 1914 built GNR O1. Made to the Martin Evans ‘Nigel Gresley’ design, these build into a very powerful and usable locomotive in this scale.
This is, as the photos hopefully show, another nicely made rolling chassis. It's crisply made, and rolls very nicely with no slop in the rods. Cylinders appear nicely done, and although there's no valve gear as yet, you can hear the pistons moving the air in a reassuringly appropriate manor.
A good and reliable start to a nice model.
