Here we have a rare little beast indeed! A 5" gauge GWR 11xx dock tank 'Midge'. We didn't even know the design had been published for the model in 5" as well as 7 1/4", and this is certainly the first one we've seen, and it comes with a very tired GA drawing for the design in 5".
The chassis is nicely engineered and machined, and although there is still clearly plenty of work to do, it's certainly be a great start to what would make a lovely and rare model in 5". Have a good look at the photos to see what's there.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
