Here we have an 'almost' complete kit for a 5" gauge Winson/Modelworks BR 9F. The main bits have already been assembled as you can see, so there's a good start been made, and the boiler is of course brand new professionally silver soldered and still un-steamed. Missing doesn't seem to be anything massively significant. We've identified the smoke deflectors and a couple of bits of minor platework, all of which are available as inexpensive laser cuts from either ourselves (from the Doug Hewson BR Standard detailing range), or from Model Engineers Laser.
We've seen a few Modelworks/Winson 9Fs built up into nicely running models, so all the well known issues and modifications not withstanding, there's the foundations of a good engine in the boxes waiting to be put together.
