Here we have a particularly nicely made 3" scale Fowler A7 traction engine. Made to the MJ Engineering drawings, this is the rarer 'large' version of the model, most being build in 2" scale. Everything is there on this one, it's a lovely and well detailed design, and the model has been built faithfully to the plan. The paintwork is also very neatly done, and the hand painted lining is finished with considerable skill. The boiler is silver soldered copper, and she is fitted with all the usual bits. An injector and a crank shaft driven water pump. The water lifter works well too. Lubrication is mechanical as always and fitted above the cylinder block.
She comes with a full 4 year hydraulic boiler certificate, and a fresh annual steam cert, and is ready to play!
