Well, here we have a fairly rare beast. We know of three of them out there, but certainly not a model that pops up very often. A 3 1/2" gauge BR Standard class 4. This is a brand new model, with a professional boiler. The machining work is really very crisp and tidy, and it certainly runs very well. We've test steamed her a couple of weeks ago to find out exactly what needed before she was fully commissioned and ready to go, and actually everything worked pretty much perfectly straight out of the box. The only issue was that the front set of driving wheels wasn't keyed to the axle and slipped round a fraction ending the fun. We've since finished the model, keying the wheel, and she'd now ready to hit the track.
Although the paint finish has the odd scratch and chip, and in places the platework is a bit on the functional side, this is still a well made, and brand new model with only a couple of test steamings under it's belt. All the usual things are there, injector, axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve, and of course the hand pump in the tender. Footplate operated draincocks, and lubrication is from the usual mechanical pump hidden under the front footplate.
