Here we have another nice little Maisie. A 3 1/2" gauge GNR Ivatt C1 Atlantic, here in LNER early livery and built to the well proven and ever popular LBSC 'Maisie' drawings.
This is a lovely model, with lots of nice detailing. As is so often the case with the models that come in to us, sadly the builder is no longer with us, and the model has spent a number of years sitting in a workshop out of use. It runs very nicely on air, and of course we are happy to re-commission it for you if you'd like it to be ready to play again. There isn't much that needs to be done to this one to be fair, as it appears to have been both well made and well looked after. The boiler looks to be a professional job, is in very good condition,... extremely neat and with a look of a Cheddar boiler too it. There is a stamp behind the grate release handle,.... (we will check what that says and update the listing shortly, but it can have a new 4 year hydraulic and fresh steam test putting on it if you wish).
Footplate operated drain cocks, injector, hand pump in the tender and mechanical lubricator under the front running board.
