Here we have a well presented 3 1/2" gauge LBCS 'Tich' in the large boiler form. This is the Walschearts valve gear version as well, and so runs really nicely. The boiler is copper and silver soldered and comes fully tested with certificates so she's ready to play. Mechanically the valve gear and bushes are pretty good, there's nothing significant to worry about beyond the usual mild wear and tear, so she's certainly good to go for a good while yet!
There is an axle pump fitted with bypass valve on the footplate, as well as the hand pump tucked in the side tank. Lubrication is mechanical and hidden under the front running boards. Essentially this is a tidy, well executed and ready to play example of a very popular design, and certainly a superb entry point for the live steam hobby. Complete with a sturdy carrying case as per the photos.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
