Here we have a particularly finely engineered 3 1/2" gauge LMS Stanier Class 4 tank. We've had this one for a long time in our collection here at The Steam Workshop, but having collected a few new 'big' toys last year it's become time to find new homes for some of the smaller engines that we just haven't had chance to play with for a while!
The model is fundamentally built to the well respected Martin Evans 'Jubilee' design, but then the builder has worked from works drawings and photographs of the real Stanier Class 4 tank and nudged everything toward the prototype wherever possible. The level of detail, particularly for a 3 1/2" gauge model is stunning. Even the steam sanders work,.... yes,.... you read that right,..... you open the valve on the footplate and all 6 sanding pipes blow through steam and sand (assuming you use the 'magic sand' that doesn't clog up!)
