Here we have a Prize winning 3½ inch gauge Rob Roy, finished nicely in the Caledonian Railway livery. Built by the late Harry Clyne the model engineering is excellent as you'd expect. The silver soldered copper boiler in new and un-fired, but can of course come with a fresh twice working pressure shell test as well as fresh steam tests if you'd like us to steam the loco for you. As you'd expect from the model's pedigree this is one of the nicest examples of a Rob Roy that we've seen.
Lubrication is mechanical, and there is a crosshead pump fitted, as well as a hand pump in the side tank.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
