Here we have a rather lovely little 3 1/2" gauge LNER Q5, built to the well respected 'Netta' design. The model has been well engineered and the machining work is nice and crisply done. Wear and tear is relatively little and although she's obviously been run, she's been built properly and well looked after so everything is still nicely tight.
Fitted with an injector hidden behind the footsteps, a single ram axle pump and a footplate mounted bypass valve. as well as a hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is mechanical and tucked away neatly in the usual location under the front running boards. The builder has also made a neat little wooden tender protector to stop the coal scratching the paint.
The boiler is silver soldered and copper as you'd expect and looks to be professionally made and nicely tidy. The loco is superheated and as always she can come with a fresh twice working pressure boiler test and a fresh annual steam test so she's full commissioned and ready to play.
