Here we have a good start to a 2" Burrell Showmans, built we think to the 'Thetford Town' drawings. The boiler is copper and silver soldered,... and looks like a nicely made thing. The machining and valve gear looks competently done as well. There isn't a particularly high level of finesse in any of the work, and it could certainly be hugely improved by a little time cleaning it all up with a bit of emery cloth! What you see is what's there, including a good number of castings to help complete the model, and the majority of the expensive gearing. Certainly a good start to the bulk of the model, and with a set of wheels and a bunker she would be very much over the top of the mountain!
