Here we have another rather lovely Royal Chester. Royal Chesters always seem to be built by skilled model engineers, and this one is no exception. The drawings are fairly well detailed, and so the model tends not to be attempted by beginners. The model is currently new and in un-steamed condition. It's mechanically essentially brand new and runs very well on air. It is again another very well built example that has been on display in a private collection for some time.
All the details are there, water lifter, injector, crank shaft pump mechanical lubricator, and this is also a very nicely painted and lined model although there is the odd scuff and scrape here and there where time has tarnished the finish. Hopefully the photos ought to do the model justice so that you can see what you are buying. As with all our completed and ready to go models, she can be given a full 4 year hydraulic boiler test on the copper silver soldered boiler, and a fresh annual steam test as well should you wish to run her. If not as an un-fired model she'd be equally at home in your dining room just looking beautiful.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
