Here we have a 5" gauge Polly 2. A nice and tidy example that looks to have been well cared for. mechanically sound model with the usual professionally well made Polly boiler. As usual the boiler comes with a fresh hydraulic test as well as a fresh annual steam test so all's well and ready to run.
Fitted with an injector, an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass and of course the hand pump fitted within the tender. Lubrication in this instance is mechanical and the reservoir is on the running boards, so it's nice and easy to get at. A great little starter loco to bring yourself into the hobby with an easy to run and easy to maintain locomotive.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
