Here we have another 5" gauge GWR Manor, this time number 7800 'Torquay Manor'. A nicely built loco that has clearly been enjoyed by a previous owner. A little cosmetically scruffy here and there, but there are some nice details and mechanically all's well. As always the silver soldered copper boiler comes with a fresh 4 year hydraulic test as well as a fresh steam test to make sure she's ready to run.
Fitted with an injector, a crosshead pump and a hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is of the displacement type under the footplate with a regulatable sight feed in the cab. There's a steam brake fitted as well, but in our experience, like many steam brakes below 7 1/4" gauge, it's probably not something that you'll use in the real world.

As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get!
We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
