Here we have a super rare project, a 3 1/2" gauge Southern Railway Bulleid Merchant Navy, scaled down it seems from the 5" gauge 'Arial' drawings. The silver soldered copper boiler comes with it's past hydraulic boiler shell test to show that although it isn't the prettiest job, it is a successful and solid one. The boiler is essentially where the bulk of the value in this model lies. There's a good start to both the tender and the rolling chassis complete with Boxpok wheels, and indeed the bronze cylinder castings are present and in part machined.
