Here we have a 3 1/2" gauge LBSC 'William'. There's an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve from the side tanks and bunker tank, and the plumbing is Currently set up to receive extra water from a hand pump on an external source (presumably the previous owner's driving truck). We can easily pop a hand pump on the footplate though so there are two ways to get water into the loco on the engine to satisfy the boiler certification requirements.
The boiler is copper and silver soldered as usual and comes with a fresh twice working pressure hydraulic test as well as a fresh steam test, and the whole loco comes fully tested and working as usual. Lubrication is mechanical and easy to access on the left hand running board. Mechanically it's clearly a used loco, but there's still plenty of life left in the bearings yet!
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
