Here we have a freelance 0-4-0 with a neat little trick up it's sleeve. It's convertible between 5" gauge and 7 1/4" gauge at the twist of an allen bolt so you'll have loads of choice where you run! The model was built by the late John Drury, an extremely well respected and prolific model engineer, so it's well engineered and well conceived as you'd expect, and although it hasn't run for a good few years, (I'm sure we will be replacing the odd bit of gland packing here and there in our workshops!), it promises to be a free steaming and capable performer.
We have a huge amount to get uploaded to the website at the moment so more words to follow shortly, but for now have a good look at the photos to give you the general idea. As with all our running models, it'll go through the workshop before delivery so it'll be thoroughly tested and the well looked after and tidy steel boiler will have a fresh hydraulic and steam test so it's all working and ready to play.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
