Here we have a brand new and un-steamed 3 1/2" BR 9F. The model is well on the way to being finished and has in fact been run, but there are a few loose ends to be tied off before it's fully ready for the track. The boiler is a neatly made brand new silver soldered professional copper one. The tender is actually the work of another model engineer, and shows a little more 'age', as it's one that we've had here on the shelf at SW for many years awaiting the right engine to pair up to.
We have a huge amount to get uploaded to the website at the moment so more words to follow shortly, but for now have a good look at the photos to give you the general idea.As with all our running models, it'll go through the workshop before delivery so it'll be thoroughly tested and have a fresh hydraulic and steam boiler test so it's all working and ready to play.
As with most of our models, what you see isn't necessarily what you get! We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
