Here we have a 5" gauge LNER K1 (ish). Essentially a freelance model built by the late John Drury, an extremely well respected and prolific model engineer, and although not precisely accurate to any particular prototype, it's got more than a subtle hint of LNER K1 as well as a dash of the smaller boilered LNER K4 in there! The number, '2005' is that of the preserved K1 and the model is in great condition although currently not having run for a good few years,.....I'm sure we will be replacing the odd bit of gland packing here and there in our workshops!
We have a huge amount to get uploaded to the website at the moment so more words to follow shortly, but for now have a good look at the photos to give you the general idea. As with all our running models, it'll go through the workshop before delivery so it'll be thoroughly tested and the silver soldered copper boiler will have a fresh hydraulic and steam test so it's all working and ready to play.

We often photograph models pretty much as they come in to us, and then when someone phones to say they are interested we pull the model into our workshops and make sure everything is tested, sorted and ready to go. So if you see the odd model photograph with a fitting missing or a return crank in the wrong place, that's just how it came in and certainly not how it will leave.
