Here we have a competently made 7 1/4" gauge GWR 11xx Dock Tank, built to the well respected, (and nearly 100 years old now) design 'Midge'. The model was completed in 1974 and until recently had only really been test steamed before being placed on static display in a private collection. She was lifted from her slumber earlier in the year, commissioned and is now ready to play.
The boiler is a Silver soldered copper one that comes with fresh certificates. The cylinders are cast iron with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear. Lubrication is mechanical and on the running boards. There is an injector fitted as well as an axle pump with footplate mounted bypass valve. The tanks are at present unemployed, and she is plumbed up to take water from your riding truck. The tanks could therefore be relatively easily adapted to take the water,..... or,.... you could sneakily hide a fair wodge of lead in them if you wished to pull the skin of numerous rice pudding dishes simultaneously!
