Here we have a 5" Aspinall Lancashire & Yorkshire 2-4-2T. This is a bit of a tired model made to the Don Young drawings. It came to us stripped down ready for a re-build. The crank axle needs attention and certainly the intention of the previous owner was to re-bush here and there, generally undergoing a 'heavy-general' overhaul to bring it back to it's former glory. As it happens in stock at the moment we also have an early stage Lanky tank build, that happens to have a new crank axle with it. (just in case refurbishing this one isn't your thing!)
As far as we can see it's essentially complete, (there's another bag with a few more bits in it that I forgot to photograph) with only the odd bit of plumbing, and perhaps an old fitting or two that could have gone astray in the strip down, and importantly we have pumped up the boiler to check that it is good and sound,..... which it is. So all round a nice little project here for someone to re-build into a lovely little loco.
