Here we have a rather nicely made GWR County 4-4-0, this time 3801 'County Carlow'. We've had this one come through before back in 2014, and contrary to the fact that we've had 2 of them come through now, these are not a particularly commonly modeled prototype! This one is a new model and is ready to play. Very well made, with a nice level of detail by a skilled model engineer. We commissioned and steam tested it for the first time in it's life when we sold it in 2014, and since then it has been sitting on a plinth in the customers home. It's come back in as a part exchange, and it's still therefore only ever had the one fire in it, and is new, tested and ready to play.
There is a crosshead water pump and a bypass valve fitted on the footplate, and also a hand pump in the tender. Lubrication is via the usual mechanical lubricator under the front running boards.
