Here we have a well built, and ready to play example of LBSC's venerable Tich design, doubled up in size for 7 1/4" gauge. Big enough to be comfortable to drive and pull you and your friends about, but small enough to throw in the back of the car. A good introductory locomotive to the world of 7 1/4" gauge play.
This is an older model, so the paintwork, particularly on the boiler is a bit tired. That said, the original workmanship was pretty good, so mechanically, and cosmetically from a build quality stand point it's still very presentable. It has an injector, a hand pump in the tank, and a mechanical axle pump, with footplate bypass valve for the water. The draincocks are footplate operated, and lubrication is mechanical ratchet hidden as usual under the front footplate.
Originally built in 1976, and armed with a nice back catalogue of old boiler certs, the current hydraulic ticket rubs until October 2017, so she is ready to light up and play.
