Some photos of the work done to a Modelworks King Arthur to get it to run properly. Mostly the work centered on the valves, ports and cylinders, as a standard Modelworks problem was lack of steam pathway volume, constricting the flow of steam through to locomotive and diminishing performance. The valves are also pretty rubbish, so here they have been reworked with PTFE bobbin faces, again, we find this to be a great solution, and certainly this and the Britannia that we reworked in a similar way both perform extremely well now.
